If Historical Figures Did TV Commercials #8

Thomas Overbeck

Talk about your baseball dynasties...

Anyway, I'm on the lookout for some guest strips because we're shopping for a new computer, and I don't know how smooth the transition is gonna be (I'm REAAAAAALLLY hoping Photoshop CS3 is compatible with Windows 7), so I'd like to have something to take up a week or two, just in case my comic-making process is incapacitated for too long. Email if you come up with something. Thanks!

Thomas, interesting bit of history...back in 1996, Ken Caminiti gained a bit of Snickers-related fame with the San Diego Padres (yes, I'm a San Diegan, currently living in Kandahar, Afghanistan). He had the flu or something, and was super-dehydrated. The trainers gave him a couple of bags of saline solution, he ate a Snickers bar and went out to hit two home runs against the Mets. Sad the way his life ended way too soon, but he was a helluva player. Thanks for the memories.

@gdkool: I'm currently working in Afghanistan, and I've seen those ads on BFBS tv. Good stuff.

Dunno about Windows 7, but I'm still running an ancient program called iPhotoExpress on 8.1, and it works just fine.
