One Day At A Time Warp

Thomas Overbeck

If I was ranking my favorite TV show themes of all time, "One Day At A Time" would definitely be in the top five. This here is a reenactment of the opening credits of the very first season in 1975.

As for Ardra, check out ArdraComic.com tomorrow for a special cameo appearance!

It's one of those sitcoms from Norman Lear, who was a big name in TV back in the 70's. He Americanized "Til Death Do Us Part" and "Steptoe & Son", if that helps. :)

You might know those Americanized shows as "All In The Family" and "Sanford & Son", respectively.

The trouble with Americanizing Britcoms is that the US producers often don't get why they're popular in the first place, hence the dismal failure of American versions of "Fawlty Towers" and "Dad's Army". "All in the Family" and "Sanford & Son" were more successful, but in both cases the original lead characters were WAY more abrasive than in the US versions.
