Recycled: The Next In The Series

Thomas Overbeck

It's Earth Day! And I thought I'd commemorate it by recycling an old comic of mine... again.

But THIS time, instead of going back to name-dropping a bunch of webcomics (I hope I gave Hogan a good scare there :D), I put in a bunch of dialogue tropes and put the TV Tropes people on the phone. I'm really loving that site (and all the referral traffic it gets me).

Please don't link to it... please don't link to it... Oh God, you linked to it. Well, I know what I'm going to be doing all night.

I've been linking to it for the past few months now... check the top-right-hand corner. :D

There's no way to escape TV Tropes. Even lack of Internet technology in a fax offers no protection.

Are you really just "recycling" an old comic or did you just celebrate the holiday a little too hard on Saturday? ;)

Nope, this was planned well in advance. Plus, there was a full slate of stuff going on last weekend with the family.

As someone who posted some of the earliest "Times Like This" bits on TVTropes (I think before it even had its own page), I feel oddly pleased by this one. Yet one more proof that the webcomic has grown ... without giving up the groans.

As an aside, based on Cassie and Phil's recent(?) vacation: A group of paleontologists are at a dig site:
Lead Paleontologist: No, I must have done something wrong. Those are clearly human footprints, but there is no way they can be 60 million years old. And that little guy whose foot print is on top of the "human" footprint was only around from 65 million until 49 million years ago. So what could make a human-looking footprint in 60-million-year-old mud?

After finally finding time to update the SxS list, I found fourteen possible links to pages in TV Tropes. Only problem is, I'm not sure I've got them all.
