Times Like This RSS http://www.timeslikethis.com A Means To An End - Part 5 http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=633 I gotta admit Star Trek IV was one of my favorite Trek films, and the time travel premise was indeed part of the reason why. And yes, I did realize the parallels between my current storyline and the hospital scene with Bones and the dialysis patient.

A Means To An End - Part 4 http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=632 Lindale, by the way, is a small town located about half an hour from Tyler. My wife has relatives there, too.

A Means To An End - Part 3 http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=631 The fact that this storyline overlaps Mother's Day is purely coincidental... but it's a happy coincidence, anyway.

A Means To An End - Part 2 http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=630 Let's twist again, like we did last summer! (I almost named this storyline "Nearly Lost You"... but I knew that would give too much away. I prefer Joy Division over Screaming Trees, anyway.)

A Means To An End http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=629 I wasn't planning to do a NanoCon gag this year, but I still wanted to do a logo for it. Anyway, a mysterious call kicks off this storyline.

If Historical Figures Did TV Commercials #12 http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=628 It all started as the old Lowenbrau jingle suddenly turning up in my brain. This led to me looking up some classic commercials from the 70s and 80s on YouTube. Then, I was like, I should be able to make a good IHFDTVC out of this. Researching the Lowenbrau company, I found out they've been around for centuries, they have an old brewery and pub in Munich, and they are indeed still making beer (just not in the USA anymore). Knowing that Munich was a major cultural hub in Germany, I looked up what famous names were associated with the city... and one of them was Richard Wagner. Finally, I decided to tie it all in with Cassie's wedding (That one small part of "Lohengrin"? You might know it better as "Here Comes The Bride") and actually include Cassie and Philip in this one, meeting Wagner at the premiere of his "Tristan & Isolde" opera in 1865.

Remind Me Yesterday http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=626 I figured we were overdue for an interface upgrade on the time machine... so now it's got a touchscreen. (Yes, I know the iPod Nanos don't have mics... Matt tacked one on there, okay?)

Recycled: The Next In The Series http://www.timeslikethis.com/index.php?id=625 It's Earth Day! And I thought I'd commemorate it by recycling an old comic of mine... again. But THIS time, instead of going back to name-dropping a bunch of webcomics (I hope I gave Hogan a good scare there :D), I put in a bunch of dialogue tropes and put the TV Tropes people on the phone. I'm really loving that site (and all the referral traffic it gets me).
